NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s board of directors has approved the promotion of one senior vice president and nine vice presidents.
Margaret M. McConnell has been promoted to senior vice president in the Chief of Staff’s Office, Executive Office. She had been a vice president and deputy chief of staff for policy since January 2008, an assistant vice president in the same area since July 2007 and an assistant vice president in the macroeconomics and monetary studies function, Research and Statistics Group since March 2006.
Ms. McConnell joined the Bank in September 1996 as an economist in the domestic research function and was named an officer of the Bank in January 2006, assigned to the macroeconomics and monetary studies function, Research and Statistics Group.
Ms. McConnell holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in economics from the University of Delaware and a doctorate in economics from Ohio State University.
Adam B. Ashcraft has been promoted to vice president in the credit risk management function of the Credit, Investment and Payment Risk Group. He had been an assistant vice president in the financial intermediation function, Research and Statistics Group, since January 2009.
Mr. Ashcraft joined the Bank in July 2001 as an economist in the banking studies function and was named an officer of the Bank in January 2008, assigned to the financial intermediation function, Research and Statistics Group.
Mr. Ashcraft holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Miami University and a doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Richard E. Charlton has been promoted to vice president and counsel in the Legal Group. He had been an assistant vice president and counsel in the same area since July 2004.
Mr. Charlton joined the Bank in September 1996 as a law clerk in the Legal Group and was named an officer of the Bank with the title of counsel in January 2003.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a juris doctor degree and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan Law School and Institute of Public Policy Studies.
Michele H. Kalstein has been promoted to vice president and counsel in the Legal Group. She had been an assistant vice president and counsel in the same area since January 2006.
Ms. Kalstein joined the Bank in June 2001 as an attorney in the legal department and was named an officer of the Bank with the title of counsel in January 2003.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University and a juris doctor degree from Harvard University.
Janet S. Resele-Tiden has been promoted to vice president in the Chief of Staff’s Office, Executive Office. She had been an assistant vice president and assistant chief of staff for operations in the same area since November 2008.
Ms. Resele-Tiden joined the Bank in February 1988 as an assistant bank examiner in the international banking department, Bank Supervision Group. In August 1990, she resigned to attend graduate school and rejoined the Bank in July 1992 as a bank examiner in the international banking department.
Ms. Resele-Tiden was named an officer of the Bank in July 2004 assigned to the group support services function, Financial Services Group. She was assigned to the office of management and budget, Markets Group, in September 2005 and was named assistant corporate secretary in July 2006. In June 2007, Ms. Resele-Tiden was assigned to the subcommittee on credit risk management (SCRM) administration office with the title of SCRM officer.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a Master of International Affairs degree in public policy from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs.
Joshua Rosenberg has been promoted to vice president in the credit risk management function of the Credit, Investment and Payment Risk Group. He had been an assistant vice president in the capital markets function of the Research and Statistics Group since July 2008.
Mr. Rosenberg joined the Bank in September 2001 as an economist in the capital markets function of the Research and Statistics Group and was named an officer of the Bank in the same area in July 2005.
Mr. Rosenberg holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and religion from Oberlin College and a doctorate in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
Louis J. Scenti, Jr. has been promoted to vice president in the talent management and development division, human resources function, Corporate Group. Mr. Scenti joined the Bank as an assistant vice president in the same area in November 2008.
Mr. Scenti holds a bachelor’s degree in speech/theatre from Rhode Island College and a master’s degree in Human Resources Development from the New School University.
Michael Schetzel has been promoted to vice president in the Chief of Staff’s Office, Executive Office. He had been deputy chief of staff since January 2009 and an assistant vice president in the Markets Group since October 2007.
Mr. Schetzel joined the Bank in June 1996 as a bank examiner in the financial examinations department, Bank Supervision Group, and was named an officer of the Bank in July 2005 assigned to the foreign exchange and investment staff, Markets Group. Mr. Schetzel resigned in September 2006 and rejoined the Bank in October 2007 as an assistant vice president assigned to the Markets Group as the Bank’s liaison to the U.S. Treasury Department.
Mr. Schetzel holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Maryland and a Master of International Affairs degree in international finance from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs.
Denise B. Schmedes has been promoted to vice president in the Wholesale Product Office, Executive Group. She had been an assistant vice president since January 2007 and an officer in the same area since December 2006.
Ms. Schmedes joined the Bank in October 1994 as an analyst in the domestic and regulatory reports department. She was named an officer of the Bank in July 2005 assigned to the operational risk department, Bank Supervision Group.
Ms. Schmedes holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Trenton State College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from New York University.
Michele R. Walsh has been promoted to vice president in group shared services in the Markets Group. She had been an assistant vice president assigned to Special Purposes Vehicle Management since November 2008 and business development since January 2007.
Ms. Walsh joined the Bank in June 1993 as an analyst in the central bank financial services department, Markets Group. She was named an officer of the Bank in January 2003 assigned to the funds clearing staff and in May 2005, she was assigned to cash management both in central bank and international account services.
Ms. Walsh holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Manhattan College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Pace University.
