NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has broadened its social media presence with the launch of its official Facebook page, helping it better communicate and engage with the public it serves.
Additionally, to mark the New York Fed’s Centennial anniversary, each week for the next six months, the page will feature key events in the institution's history, leading up to the 100th anniversary of the day it opened for business, November 16, 1914.
Posts will generally include New York Fed research, speeches, reports, surveys, Liberty Street Economics Blog posts and accompanying charts and visuals.
In addition to Facebook, the public can follow the New York Fed on Twitter, YouTube and online at www.newyorkfed.org.
