The Outreach and Education function engages, empowers and educates the Second District communities that the Bank serves, especially civic leaders, students, educators, small business owners, policymakers and the general public. The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has appointed seven new members to its Consumer Advisory Council and has designated a new Chair and Vice Chair of the Council for 2000. Dwight Golann, Professor of Law, Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, was designated Chair. Lauren Anderson, who is Executive Director of the Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans, Louisiana, was designated Vice Chair.
