Operational Results In order to ensure the transparency of its agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS) transactions, the Open Market Trading Desk (the Desk) at the New York Fed will publish historical operational results, including information on the transaction prices in individual operations, at the end of each monthly period shown in the table below. Operational results will include agency MBS transactions associated with both the additional asset purchases announced by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) on September 13, 2012, and purchases related to the reinvestment of principal payments from agency debt and agency MBS in agency MBS. Reinvestment Purchase Amounts* The Desk’s tentative agency MBS purchase amounts associated with the reinvestment of principal payments from agency debt and agency MBS in agency MBS are shown in the table below. The amounts listed are approximately equal to the amount of principal payments from agency debt and agency MBS expected to be received over the monthly period, adjusted for any variations from prior periods, as described more fully in the FAQs. Additional Asset Purchase Amounts* The Desk plans to purchase $40 billion in additional agency MBS over the month of June. The Desk will release the amount of additional planned purchases for July 2013 at 2 p.m. on June 28, 2013.
