Community Development Financial Institutions: Puerto Rico
 
Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are specialized financial institutions that promote community and economic development. They include community development banks, credit unions, loan funds, venture capital funds and microenterprise loan funds. CDFIs provide a range of products and services, that help revitalize economically distressed communities. There are approximately 80 certified CDFIs that provide targeted lending and investment in the Second Federal Reserve District.
