SUBJECT: Announcement Regarding November 23 Sale of Options on Repurchase Transactions
Next weeks auctions of options on repurchase agreements will take place on Tuesday, November 23 at 2:30 p.m. The FRBNY will auction $10 billion of the December 23 Strip, $25 billion of the December 30 Strip and $20 billion of the January 6 Strip. These amounts will bring total planned sales of options on repos over the six auctions between October 20 and November 23 to $99 billion of the December 23 Strip, $198 billion of the December 30 Strip and $129 billion of the January 6 Strip. As announced on November 4, one additional auction is planned for Wednesday, December 1.
