New York Fed Names Five Vice Presidents

January 20, 2005

NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced that its board of directors has approved the promotion of five vice presidents.

Andrew M. Danzig has been promoted to vice president in the markets group. He joined the bank as a financial analyst in August 1991, was named an officer of the New York Fed in June 1996 and promoted to assistant vice president in June 1999.

Mr. Danzig holds a B.A. degree from Columbia College and an M.B.A. degree from Yale University.

Jeanmarie Davis has been promoted to vice president in the bank supervision group where she joined the bank as an applications analyst in June 1985. Ms. Davis was named an officer of the New York Fed in June 2001 and promoted to assistant vice president in January 2003.

Ms. Davis holds a B.A. degree from Colgate University and an M.B.A. degree from Baruch College.

James A. Kahn has been promoted to vice president in the research and statistics group. He joined the bank as a senior economist in June 1997, was named an officer of the New York Fed in June 1999 and promoted to assistant vice president in June 2000.

Prior to joining the New York Fed, Mr. Kahn was Associate Professor at the University of Rochester.

Mr. Kahn holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mark E. Mindlin has been promoted to vice president in the bank supervision group. He joined the bank as an assistant programmer in the automation and systems services group in 1974. Mr. Mindlin was appointed an officer of the New York Fed in the bank supervision group in January 1995 and was promoted to assistant vice president in the same group in March 1998.

Mr. Mindlin holds a B.S. degree from Union College and an M.B.A. degree from New York University.

Michael Schussler has been promoted to vice president in the legal group. He joined the bank as a senior attorney in March 1995 and was appointed an officer of the New York Fed with the title of counsel in September 1995. He was promoted to assistant vice president in June 1997.

Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Schussler was an assistant counsel with the New York State Banking Department for almost 15 years.

Mr. Schussler holds a B.A. degree from McGill University, and a J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
