New York Fed Names 12 Assistant Vice Presidents and 15 New Officers

NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's board of directors promoted 12 officers to assistant vice president and named 15 new officers, the bank announced today.

Named assistant vice presidents were:

In the automation and systems services group:

  • Jeffrey C. Blye of Great Neck, N.Y., and
  • Harry M. Zimbalist of Princeton Junction, N.J.

In the banking services group:

  • Gary M. Bertone of Pennington, N.J.,
  • L. Wendy Webb of Princeton, N.J., and
  • Gerald V. Lombardo of East Brunswick, N.J.

In the corporate group:

  • Robert M. Pofsky of New City, N.Y., and
  • Sharon T. Wong of Brooklyn, N.Y.

At the East Rutherford Operations Center:

  • Laurence C. Bonnemere of Teaneck, N.Y.

In the protection function:

  • Nicholas L. Proto of Bardonia, N.Y.

In the markets group:

  • Michael Maffattone of Manalapan, N.J., and
  • Valerie I. Rainford of New City, N.Y.

In the research and market analysis group:

  • Joseph S. Tracy of Darien, CT.

Named new officers were:

  • Jeffrey Klein of Staten Island, N.Y., appointed automation officer in network planning, and
  • Frances Ratner of Tappan, N.Y., appointed automation officer in open systems.
    In the bank supervision group:
  • Arthur Angulo of Morris Plains, N.J., appointed examining officer in
    financial examinations,

David G. Dudley of Freeport, N.Y., appointed examining officer in

financial examinations,

  • Steven J. Manzari of New York City, appointed bank supervision officer in data resources, and
  • Jennifer R. Zara of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., appointed examining officer in
    financial examinations.

In the banking services group:

  • Jeannie V. Barnett of Fair Lawn, N.J., appointed bank services officer.

In the corporate group:

  • Margaret G. Carmody of Ridgewood, N.Y., appointed public information officer.

In the emerging markets and international affairs group:

  • John J. Clark, Jr. of New York City, appointed international officer in development studies, and
  • Daniel Kinney of Cranbury, N.J., appointed international officer in financial markets and institutions.

In the legal group:

  • Scott Corrigan of New York City,
  • James J. Hilton of South Orange, N.J., and
  • Robert B. Toomey of Port Washington, N.Y. were named counsel.

In the research and market analysis group:

  • Leonardo Bartolini of New York City, appointed research officer in international research, and
  • Philip E. Strahan of Hartsdale, N.Y., appointed research officer in banking studies.

Other assignments include:

  • Martin P. Cusick, of West Milford, N.J., assistant vice president, assigned new responsibility for the service function,
  • Linda Goldberg, of Princeton, N.J., research officer, assigned new responsibility for international research,
  • Erica L. Groshen, of Great Neck, N.Y., assistant vice president, assigned new responsibility for domestic research,
