Economic Forces in American History

July 8, 2008

Communications and Regional and Community Affairs and the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE) host this four-day seminar for American history, economics and social studies teachers. University faculty members lead discussions highlighting the impact of economics on pivotal historical events. Teachers demonstrate interactive teaching strategies that incorporate the actual circumstances of historical periods of study. Seminar materials are provided.

Through an agreement with the Foundation for Teaching Economics, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs will offer 2-graduate level credits in economics. It is highly recommended that you check with your respective institution regarding acceptance toward performance review or academic credit. Checks and credit card information for units will be collected on the last day of the program. Note that the cost is approximately $100.

Audience
Teachers from the Second Federal Reserve District: New York State; the 12 northern counties of New Jersey; Fairfield County, Connecticut; Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
