Global Economic Forum
June 28, 2007

Public Information hosts this three-day seminar for global history, economics and social studies teachers. Federal Reserve specialists from the International Research and Emerging Markets groups give briefings dealing with key issues, areas of the world, and nations that impact the global economy. As a culminating activity, forum attendees, playing the roles of representatives from various nations, will participate in a global economic summit simulation. Seminar materials are provided.

Eligible participants receive New York City, New York State and New Jersey staff development credits. Each teacher is responsible for determining the availability of credit from his/her school/district.

Audience
Teachers from the Second Federal Reserve District: New York State; the 12 northern counties of New Jersey; Fairfield County, Connecticut; Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Event Details

The Fed Forum series brings speakers from the Federal Reserve System to upstate New York business and community leaders to enrich the public dialogue around issues of regional interest.
