FDIC Meeting in Puerto Rico: Protecting the Financial Sector—A Public and Private Partnership

in the Second Federal Reserve District:

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will hold a conference on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, called "Protecting the Financial Sector—A Public and Private Partnership."

Government officials and financial sector representatives will update attendees on what has been done in the area of critical infrastructure protection. Speakers will discuss preparing for, managing and mitigating physical and cyber threats.

Session topics include the formation and purpose of regional coalitions, obtaining information on physical and cyber threats, cyber crime and cyber risk management, and discussion from the energy sector and local emergency preparedness/homeland security representative(s) regarding emergency preparedness.
